Hemal Ramesh Makwana

I’m Hemal Ramesh Makwana and my workspace is located in the New Kisant Building within the Kishorkunj Co-Op Society. It’s on the 7th floor, flat number 25, right across from the old Kalvert Mill on Shantipath Marg in Mazagoan. This part of Mumbai, Mumbai - 4, has a lot of history and character. It’s not a fancy corporate park; it’s a living, breathing neighborhood. Working from a flat means things are pretty informal around here. We don’t wear suits and we don’t have long meetings that go nowhere. Usually, it’s just me and a couple of helpers trying to keep things organized. The view from the 7th floor isn't much, just the tops of other buildings and the busy street below, but it feels like home. Mazagoan is a great place to be because everything is accessible, though the traffic on Shantipath Marg can be a real test of patience. We started this whole thing quite simply, just trying to provide what people needed without a lot of fuss. We don’t have any big slogans. We just show up every morning, open the windows to let the air in, and start working through our list. Sometimes we stay late when there's a lot to do, and other times we finish early if the heat gets too bad. It’s a very human way of doing business, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
