Our place is in B 502 in the Gokul Concorde building. If you spend any time in Thakur Village, you probably know where that is. It’s a busy part of Kandivali East. The office is tucked away on the fifth floor. We spend a lot of our time here dealing with paperwork and talking to people who walk in. It gets quite lively in the mornings when everyone is arriving. The building has a lot of other offices too, so there’s always someone in the elevator. Thakur Village has changed a lot over the years. There are so many more shops and places to eat now than there used to be. Sometimes we go downstairs for a quick snack or a tea when we need a break from the screens. Our space is functional. We have desks, filing cabinets, and a water cooler that always seems to be the place where people stop to chat for a minute. It’s not a huge place, but it’s enough for what we do every day. We like being in this neighborhood because it’s easy for most of us to get to. The traffic on the Western Express Highway can be a mess, but once you’re inside the village, it’s a bit better. We just focus on getting through the files and making sure everything is in order. It’s honest work and we’ve been doing it from this same spot for a good while now.
