In Mumbai, Hcl Infosystems Ltd is situated in the Hcl Tower on the third floor. This is right on Marol Military Road in Andheri East. It is a very busy part of the city. If you have ever tried to get through Marol during peak hours, you know exactly what the traffic is like. The building itself is okay, though the elevators can be slow when everyone is arriving at the same time in the morning. Being on the third floor means we are close enough to hear the street noise but far enough up to see the tops of the trees. The office is pretty standard. We have desks, chairs, and a lot of cables running everywhere because that is just the nature of what we do. It gets quite humid here, so the fans are almost always running. We don't have a corporate cafeteria, so most of us just find a spot to eat our tiffins or go out to one of the small eateries nearby. There is a certain rhythm to working in Mumbai that you don't find elsewhere. People are always in a hurry. Our team is a mix of different backgrounds, but we all end up complaining about the same train delays or the heavy rain during the monsoon. It is a functional workspace without any of the extra fluff you might find in a big corporate headquarters. It is just where we work every day.
