The place is down at 32/40 Gaiwadi. If you know the area, you know it is always crowded and there is always some kind of work happening with metal and machines. Harsh Kanak Dhara Steels is one of those spots where there is always a bit of grime on the hands and the sound of heavy things being moved around. It isn't a showroom. It is a place where steel gets handled. The walls are a bit stained from the years of working here, and the floor is hard concrete. We don't have a fancy reception area or a person in a suit waiting at the door. You just walk in and find someone. Most of the time, we are checking the loads or making sure the measurements are right. Gaiwadi is a tough place to navigate with a big vehicle, but we manage it somehow. The shop stays busy from the morning until the sun goes down. We have stacks of material everywhere, and sometimes it feels like there is barely enough room to walk between the piles. We just focus on getting the orders ready and making sure the counts are correct. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough that we don't have time for much else. People who need steel know this street well. We are just part of the landscape here. We’ve been at this for years.
