Hariom Electro Plateros

We have been here in Malad East for a long time now. The workshop is tucked away in the Shankarappa Layout, right in the Makadwala Compound area of Kurar. It gets pretty noisy around here with all the different units working side by side throughout the day. Most mornings start around nine when we open up the gates and start checking the tanks. Electroplating is messy work, to be honest with you. There is always a strong smell of chemicals and metal in the air, but you get used to it after a week or two. The floor is usually a bit damp from the rinsing process. We spend a lot of our time moving parts from one bath to the other to get the finish right. People from the local area bring in all sorts of stuff that needs a new coat or some protection from rust. Sometimes it is small car parts, other times it is just household hardware that has seen better days. The 1st Cross lane is narrow, so getting big deliveries in can be a bit of a headache with the traffic. We usually take a break in the afternoon when the sun hits the metal roof hard. There is a tea stall nearby where everyone from the compound gathers to talk. It is just a regular place where we get the job done. We do not have a fancy office. Just the machines, the tanks, and the daily work that keeps us busy in this part of Wilson Garden.
