Hamidsons Hardware

Hamidsons Hardware has been tucked away in the Peerbhoy Building for quite some time. We are over at 6, Pathakwadi, just off Lohar Chawl. If you know the area, you know it is always crowded and full of people looking for bits and pieces. We have a lot of stuff crammed into the shelves. It is hard to keep it all organized sometimes, but we usually know where things are. People come in looking for specific hardware and we try to find it for them. Sometimes they have a part in their hand and they just want something that matches. We have seen a lot of changes in the neighborhood over the years. Post Box No. 2372 is our mailing address if you ever need to send something. Working in a place like Lohar Chawl means you are always on your feet. It gets loud outside with all the carts and people. The Peerbhoy Building is an old one, so it has its quirks. The lighting isn't always the best in the back corners of the shop. You might need a flashlight to see some of the older stock we keep on the top shelves. We also handle the mail through the post box, which is a bit old-fashioned but it works for us. Lohar Chawl is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We have our regulars who come in just to chat for a bit before buying a single pack of nails. It is what we know.
