H S Steel Traders

H S Steel Traders is located in the basement of the Ruby Monarch Building. It’s Basement No 5, specifically, out on Sakinaka Old Chhani Road. Being in a basement means we don't get much sunlight, but it stays fairly cool even when it's boiling hot outside. We deal in steel, so there’s always a lot of heavy lifting and moving metal beams or sheets around from one corner to the other. It can get pretty noisy down here when we’re shifting things or when the trucks are unloading near the entrance. The Ruby Monarch Building is easy to find if you’re on Old Chhani Road, but you have to head down the stairs to actually see us. I’ve spent a lot of my life in this basement, I think. It’s not a fancy office, just a lot of steel and a wooden desk where I keep all the ledgers. Sometimes the dust from the road upstairs drifts down, so I’m always sweeping the floor to keep it halfway clean. We’ve been here long enough that the regulars know exactly where to go without asking. It’s a lot of physical work, and my back usually aches by the time I close up, but it’s what we do. Sakinaka is a busy area, always something happening, but down in Basement 5, it’s just us and the steel and the sound of the fans. We don’t try to be anything we aren’t, just a place to get the steel you need for your construction or whatever.
