H P Jain Associates is located at B 2 19 Highway View, near Shantaram Talav in Mumbai. The address says Highway View, and that is exactly what we get. You can hear the traffic on the highway all day long, which is just the sound of the city to us. We are right by the talav, so there is a bit of a breeze sometimes, but mostly it is just the typical Mumbai humidity. Our office is inside the building, and it’s a fairly tight space with all the desks and cabinets we’ve squeezed in. We do a lot of associate work here, which means there are always piles of documents and people coming in for signatures. It’s not a very quiet place, but we manage to get things done. We’ve got a small pantry for making tea, which is basically the heart of the office. Everyone who works here has their own way of doing things, and it can get a bit chaotic when we are busy. We don't have a receptionist in a uniform or a lobby with flowers. It’s just a workspace where we focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes we have to move boxes around just to find a place to sit for a meeting. It’s practical, and it suits the way we work. We’ve been here long enough that we don't even notice the noise from the highway anymore. It’s just how things are at Shantaram Talav.
