Our shop is up on the second floor of Mohammedi Mansion, right there on Islampura Street. If you’ve ever walked down Islampura Cross Lane, you know how crowded it gets with people and carts. We share the building with a lot of other folks, so there’s always noise coming from the stairs. Inside our space, it’s mostly just the sound of metal being worked on. We have been in this spot, room 201, for quite some time now. The light isn't always the best, but we know where every tool sits. It’s a bit of a climb up those stairs, especially when we’re carrying materials, but we are used to it by now. The air smells like cut iron and old oil. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a big order comes in, and we have to stack things wherever they fit. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and find us working. Usually, someone has the radio on in the background, playing old songs while we weld or cut. It’s a simple setup in a very old part of town. We just focus on getting the metal pieces done right so the customer can pick them up. It’s honest work in a busy neighborhood where everyone is trying to make a living. The walls are a bit stained, and the floor is rough, but that's just a metal shop for you.
