Gurunanak Metal Works

Our place, Gurunanak Metal Works, is over at 35 Maheshwari Road in Carnac Bunder. We are tucked into Brouch Street inside Kapadia Chambers. If you know the area, you know it is right by the docks and it stays very busy with trucks and heavy vehicles moving around all day. The building itself has that old character you find in this part of the city. We have been operating out of here for a long time, handling various metal items and parts. It gets a bit crowded inside with all the stock we have to keep, so you have to watch your step when you walk in. My father used to say that every piece of metal has a purpose, and we still sort of look at it that way. We aren't doing anything high-tech here. It is more about knowing the materials and knowing who needs what. The light in Kapadia Chambers isn't the brightest, so we have a few extra lamps around our workspace. Lunch usually happens right at the desk while we wait for the next person to come through the door. Being near Carnac Bunder means there is always a layer of dust from the road, but we just wipe off the tables and keep going. We know the other business owners in the chambers, and we often help each other out when someone is short-handed. It is a simple way of living and working that suits us just fine.
