Gupta Steels

Gupta Steels is situated on the 2nd floor of Kapadia Chambers, which is at Plot No 18. We are on Devji Ratanshi Marg in the Masjid Bunder area. This is one of the busiest parts of the city. The streets are always packed with people, handcarts, and heavy trucks. Just getting to the office can be a challenge some days because of the crowd. We deal with steel trading and have been in this building for a very long time. Our office isn't modern at all. We have old wooden furniture and stacks of paper ledgers everywhere. We still do a lot of things by hand rather than using computers for everything. It’s a very traditional way of working. The noise from the street below is constant, with people shouting and horns honking all day long. We don't have air conditioning, so we keep the windows open and the fans running. It gets quite hot in the afternoons. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the other traders who come by. We aren't trying to be a fancy corporate entity. We just know our business and we know the people in the market. There is no marketing talk here. We just discuss prices and delivery times. Masjid Bunder is a tough place to work, but it’s where all the action is for the steel trade. We are just a part of that daily grind.
