Govind Tours & Travels

Govind Tours & Travels is located right in Powai, not far from the Ganesh Temple. It’s a small office, mostly just a few desks and a bunch of maps pinned to the walls that are probably a bit outdated by now. We spend most of our time on the phone or staring at computer screens trying to find decent routes for people. Whether it’s someone needing a car for a wedding or a family looking to go on a trip during the school holidays, we just try to get the details sorted. The temple nearby means there’s always a lot of activity and people walking past our window. We get a lot of walk-ins who just want to ask about train timings or bus prices. Sometimes the internet goes slow right when we are trying to confirm a booking, which is always frustrating. We have a couple of drivers who have been with us for years, and they usually hang out nearby waiting for their next trip. It’s a local business, so we know most of the people who live in the immediate blocks. We don’t do big fancy advertisements. Most people find us because they saw the sign while going to the temple or their neighbor told them we were okay to deal with. It’s mostly about keeping track of schedules and making sure the cars are clean and the drivers know where they are going. We just take it one day at a time.
