Our office is tucked away near the Amarnath Patil Ground, just off Govandi Station Road. We call it Anchorage. Being close to the station makes it easier for the staff to get in, though the walk from the platform can be a bit crowded during the morning rush. We spend our days dealing with marine logistics and shipping matters. It’s a lot of coordination with ports and making sure cargo moves the way it should. The space inside is mostly desks and computers, with plenty of maps and schedules pinned up everywhere. It can get pretty loud when the phones start ringing all at once. We’ve been operating from this spot for a good while, so the locals know us. There isn't any big sign or flashing lights, just a regular office where the work happens. Handling ships and containers means there's always something going on, even if it’s just sorting out paperwork for a vessel that’s miles away. We don't try to make it sound more exciting than it is. It's just hard work and keeping an eye on the details. Most of the guys here have been in the shipping business for a long time, so they know the ropes. We just sit here near the ground, drink our tea, and make sure the logistics side of things stays on track without too much fuss. It is a bit dusty sometimes, but it works for us.
