Goldstar Impex is tucked away in the West Wing of Shyam Kamal, right there in Agarwal Market. Being in Vile Parle East means we are always in the middle of the noise and the crowd. Our office at A/202 is usually full of boxes or files, depending on what day it is. It’s not a quiet place, but that’s Mumbai for you. We deal with trading and shipping, mostly stuff coming in and going out of the city. Agarwal Market is always packed, so getting to the office in the morning can be a bit of a struggle with all the people around. We have been here long enough that the tea stall guy knows exactly how we like our chai. It’s a simple setup. We don’t go for those modern designs you see in corporate parks. Our desks are old, and the fans never stop spinning. We just focus on the logistics of the business. Sometimes things get delayed because of customs or transport issues, and we just have to sit and wait it out. It’s a lot of coordination. People think importing is easy until they see the stacks of papers we have to manage. We stay late most nights just to keep up. It’s a local business, run by local people who understand how things work on the ground here in Vile Parle. No fancy talk, just work. We just take it one shipment at a time and keep moving.
