Godrej & Boyce Mfg . Ltd.

Our place is in Pirojshanagar, right off the Eastern Express Highway in Vikhroli. It’s a huge area, almost like its own little town. Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Ltd. has been here for a very long time, and you can see that in the buildings. Some are old and have that classic industrial look, while others are a bit more modern. We make a lot of different things here, from furniture to appliances. It’s a busy campus with people constantly moving between the different blocks. You’ll see trucks coming in and out at all hours. Even though it's a big company name, the people working here are just regular folks from all over Mumbai. We have our own canteens and little garden patches between the workshops. It’s not like those shiny glass towers you see in other parts of the city. This is a place where things actually get built. The air smells like metal and paint sometimes. We have long-term employees who have been coming to this same spot in Vikhroli for decades. Their kids work here too in some cases. It's a massive operation but it feels familiar once you’ve been here a few days. We don't put on airs. We just focus on manufacturing products that last. Walking from one end of the campus to the other takes a while, so we usually just stick to our specific sections. It is a noisy, busy place but we like it that way.
