Glory Fabricator

Our workshop is right on the 90 Feet Road in Andheri East, which means there is never a quiet moment. Between the traffic noise outside and the sound of the welding machine inside, it is a pretty loud place to spend ten hours a day. We do a lot of heavy fabrication work here. There are always iron rods and metal sheets leaning against the walls. We spend a lot of time measuring twice and cutting once. It’s mostly just me and a few guys handling the grinders and the welding torches. You can see the sparks flying from the street if you walk past in the evening. We don’t have a big office or anything like that. There’s just a small desk where we keep the notebooks and the measuring tapes. Most days we are covered in soot or metal filings. It’s a messy job but someone has to do it. We take on all sorts of metal jobs, from small frames to bigger structures that take a few days to put together. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult because the shop floor gets damp, but we just keep working through it. The road outside is always dug up or full of trucks, so we are used to the chaos. We just focus on the metal in front of us and try to get the welds clean.
