Global Steel

You can find Global Steel over at Shop No. 147 on Amboli Road. We are directly opposite the New Court Building, which makes it easy for people to give directions to our place. It’s a busy street with people coming and going from the court all day long. Our shop isn't very big, but we pack it full of steel. We have all sorts of rods and bars tucked into the corners. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we get a lot of people in at once. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s mostly just us handling the orders that come in from local builders. We do a lot of heavy lifting. My back feels it at the end of the day, but that’s just part of the job. We don’t have a website or anything like that, we just talk to people face-to-face. Sometimes we have to move half the shop just to get to a piece of steel at the bottom of a pile. It’s messy and there’s always metal shavings on the floor. We try to sweep up, but it never stays clean for very long. We’ve been in this neighborhood for some time and know most of the other shop owners nearby. If you need some steel and you're near the court building, just walk across the street and look for us.
