Down at No. 325 Samuel Street in Vadgadi Masjid Bunder, you’ll find us at Global Merchants. It’s a hectic part of Masjid Bunder, always buzzing with activity from dawn until way past dark. We are right in the thick of the trade hub here, which makes getting things done easier even if the streets are always jammed with carts and trucks. Our space is pretty basic. We’ve got some old wooden furniture and stacks of ledgers because we still like to keep track of things by hand sometimes. The building has seen better days, but it’s solid and keeps the rain off the stock. People walk in and out all day long, some just asking for directions to the station and others looking for specific items we handle. We don't do much in the way of advertising because everyone around here already knows where we are. Dealing with the daily grind of buying and selling takes up all our energy anyway. It’s dusty work and your clothes usually end up a bit grimy by the end of the shift. We just focus on getting the crates moved and the invoices signed. It isn’t a glamorous job, but it is steady. We like the rhythm of Samuel Street, the way everyone is busy with their own hustle. It feels right for a business like ours and keeps us coming back.
