Glee Cafe

Glee Cafe is situated in the Aaram Nagar area of Andheri West, specifically near the R.B.I Colony in Ganganagar North 17. If you have ever been to Aaram Nagar, you know it feels completely different from the rest of Mumbai. It is full of these old bungalows and lots of trees, so it is much quieter than the main roads. We are located just north of the main cluster. The cafe itself is a bit of a patchwork of different ideas. We have got some old wooden chairs and tables that do not really match, but they are comfortable enough to sit in for a while. We spend a lot of time swept up in the creative energy of the neighborhood. There are always people walking around with scripts or cameras. We do not really do much in the way of marketing. We just open the doors and let people wander in. The space has a lot of character, maybe because the walls are a bit crooked and the garden outside grows a bit too wild sometimes. We try to keep it simple and honest. It is not a polished corporate cafe with uniforms and manuals. It is just a place in a bungalow where we serve what we have. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the squirrels in the trees, and other days it is a bit more hectic. That is just the way it goes here.
