Gill & Co Ltd has its office in Ballard Estate. It is a very old part of the city with those beautiful stone buildings that make everything look a bit more serious. Our office has those really high ceilings and big heavy doors. Inside, it’s a very quiet and traditional setup. We’ve been here for many decades and haven't felt the need to change much about how we work. We handle various aspects of trade and commerce, which mostly involves a lot of reading through contracts and keeping track of ledgers. We aren't the kind of company that uses social media or tries to be trendy. We prefer the old-fashioned way of doing business where you actually get to know the people you are working with. Many of our staff members have been here for thirty years or more. We are like a small family in that sense. The wooden floors have a specific creak that we all recognize. We don't use much fancy technology, just what we need to get the job done right. Sometimes we sit and talk about how much the neighborhood has changed around us, but inside these walls, things stay pretty much the same. It’s a steady and reliable place to work. We don't make big promises, we just do what we said we would do. That has always been enough for us and our clients. There is a certain comfort in the routine we have built here over the generations.
