George Maintenance Services (P) Ltd is based right inside the C.Rly. Hospital Compound in Byculla. Our office is actually Room No 37, in that block labeled Ms/Rb/Ii/303. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the address, but once you’re here, it’s just a regular workspace. Being located near the hospital means there is always something going on around us. Since we do maintenance, being in an active area like Byculla is pretty useful. We aren’t the type of people to wear suits and sit in boardrooms. Most of the time, our hands are busy or we are looking at schedules for repairs and upkeep. It’s honest work and it keeps the buildings running. The room we have is small but it fits our needs. We have our tools and our logs and a place to sit when we need to figure out the next job. Mumbai 400027 is a historic part of the city, and working out of the railway hospital grounds feels like being part of the local fabric. We don’t use fancy words to describe what we do. We just fix things and make sure the maintenance is taken care of. It’s a lot of walking around and checking on things. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, especially when it rains hard, but we just get on with it. It’s just us, doing our part in Byculla every single day. We don't mind the hard work.
