Geologistics Pvt.Ltd. is up on the 3rd floor of the Vaman Centre on Makwana Road. Mumbai can be a tough place to get around, but this spot in Andheri is where we’ve set up our base. The building is usually busy with people going up and down the elevators. Our office is a mix of computers and a lot of binders filled with old records. We handle logistics, which in simple terms means we spend our time worrying about where things are. Makwana Road gets really packed during the monsoon, and we can see the rain hitting the windows while we work on spreadsheets. We aren't a big flashy company with a lobby. We’re just a group of people who know how to handle cargo. The office has that specific smell of old paper and ink. We keep the windows shut to block out the noise from the street below, but you can still hear the horns honking. Most of our day is spent calling people to check on containers and hoping the systems don't go down. It’s a lot of mundane work that needs to be done right. We have a small corner where we keep the water cooler and that’s where most of the office gossip happens. It’s a regular job in a regular part of the city, and we just try to get through the pile of work before the day ends. We usually head out once the last emails are sent.
