General Metal & Polymers

General Metal & Polymers is over in Borivali, right inside the AFCO Society. If you know the LIC Colony area near Shanti Ashram, you know it’s mostly residential and quiet around here. We’ve been set up in this spot for a while now, handling all sorts of metal and polymer work. It isn't a flashy place with big glass windows or anything like that. It’s a practical workspace where we spend most of our daylight hours. Usually, the morning starts with checking the inventory and seeing what came in late the day before. The neighborhood is nice because you get that local feel, with people walking their dogs near the ashram while we are unloading stuff from the trucks. Sometimes the traffic on the main road makes things a bit slow, but we manage. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. It’s just us here, making sure the orders are sorted and the materials are where they need to be. Most days are just about keeping the machines running and talking to the people who drop by for business. It’s dusty work sometimes, especially with the metal bits, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We’ve got our regular routine down, from the first cup of tea in the morning until we lock up the shutters in the evening. Borivali has changed a lot over the years, but this little corner inside the society stays pretty much the same.
