Gayatri Exports

Our office is at 503-1 in the Dheeraj Sagar building. That is over in Chincholi Bunder, right on the New Link Road in Malad West. It is a busy part of town. Gayatri Exports is mostly about managing the logistics of sending goods abroad. We spend most of our time at our computers or on the phone with shipping agents and customs people. It is a lot of tracking numbers and making sure the documentation is filled out correctly. The office isn't very big, just enough room for a few desks and a mountain of files that never seems to get smaller. Malad West is a good location, but the traffic on the Link Road can be really slow during peak hours. Sometimes we stay late just to wait for the roads to clear up a bit. We don't really have a walk-in shop since we are an export firm. Most of our interactions happen over email or through long-distance calls. We have some samples of what we export sitting on a shelf in the corner, but mostly it is just a workplace for the administrative side of the trade. We have been here for a few years and the building staff knows us well. It is a routine job, keeping track of shipments and making sure nothing gets stuck at the port for too long. Sometimes the courier guy drops off a huge stack of envelopes right when we are about to leave for lunch.
