Gautam Steels

You can find us over at 164 on the 9th Lane of Ready Road. It is a bit of a noisy area with all the trucks coming in and out, but we have gotten used to it over the years. Gautam Steels is basically a place where we deal with heavy metal all day long. We have got stacks of steel piled up and it takes a bit of muscle to move things around when a customer comes by. The shop floor is usually covered in a bit of grit and the smell of metal is always in the air. We do not spend much money on making the place look pretty because that is not what our customers care about. They just want to know if we have the right size of steel in stock and if we can get it onto their truck quickly. My brother and I handle most of the daily chores, from answering the landline to making sure the inventory is somewhat organized. Sometimes we lose track of a few pieces in the piles, but we always find them eventually. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a break when the sun is at its worst. It is a straightforward business and we do not try to make it sound like more than it is. We just sell steel and try to keep our heads down and work.
