We are also in the Virwani Industrial Estate, but over at number 78. It’s a bit further in than some other units. We focus on making containers. Big ones, small ones, all kinds for different uses. The place is always full of stacks of blue and white plastic. It looks like a mountain of tubs sometimes. The machines we use for blowing the plastic are quite large and take up most of the floor space. It’s a constant rhythm of the molds opening and closing. We have a team that keeps an eye on the thickness of the plastic. If it’s too thin, the whole batch is scrap. We don’t have any polished brochures or anything like that. If someone wants to know what we do, they just come and look at the crates. The air is always warm because of the heaters on the production line. We get a lot of trucks coming in from the highway, and sometimes they get stuck in the narrow lanes of the estate. It’s a lot of coordination to get everything out on time. We just focus on the task at hand. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We keep the equipment maintained and hope for no power cuts during the peak hours. Everyone here knows their job and we just get on with it without much talk.
