You can find us on the third floor of the Jalaram Krupa Building. We’re on Janmabhoomi Marg, right in the heart of Fort. This building has been here for a long time, and so have we. Being in Fort means we’re close to everything important in the shipping world around here. Gateway Maritime Pvt Ltd is basically just a group of us who handle maritime logistics. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and making sure the numbers match up. The building doesn't have a modern elevator that works all the time, so we get some exercise on the stairs. It’s a bit dusty and the streets outside are always packed with people heading to the station. We handle the shipping details that most people don't want to think about. It’s mostly just making sure the containers are where they should be. We don't have a big marketing department or a polished website. Most of our work comes from word of mouth. We know the customs rules and the port schedules pretty well by now. It’s not the most exciting job in the world, but it’s necessary. We try to be practical about things. If a ship is late, it’s late, and we just inform whoever needs to know. We’ve been in this office for years and the walls are covered in old calendars and maps. It’s home for us during the day. We just stay focused on the cargo and wait for the ships to dock.
