Saba Steel Fabrications

If you walk down Garde Road East near Arab Gali, you will probably hear us before you see us. There is always the sound of metal hitting metal or the hum of the welding machines. We have been doing steel fabrication in this spot for a long time. The workshop is usually covered in a bit of iron dust and it gets quite hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months. We take on all sorts of jobs, from small window grills to larger frames that people need for their shops or homes. It is heavy work and our hands are usually stained with oil or grease by noon. We don't have a big office or anything fancy. Most of our time is spent on the floor measuring pipes and cutting sheets to the right size. Sometimes a customer comes in with a rough drawing on a piece of scrap paper, and we have to figure out how to make it work in real life. It is not always perfect on the first try, but we stay late to get the angles right. We keep a lot of raw material piled up in the corners because you never know what someone might ask for on short notice. It is a simple operation run by people who aren't afraid to get their clothes dirty or handle heavy tools all day long. We just focus on the metal and making sure the welds hold together.
