Ganesh Shelar

Ganesh Shelar is the name on the door here at Byculla. I am located at number 1, and the easiest way to find me is to look for the New Sunrise Restaurant nearby. If you can smell the food from the restaurant, you are probably very close. This is a very old part of the city, and things can get quite crowded on the streets outside. My workspace is simple and honest. I handle a lot of different tasks for people in the neighborhood. Whether it is fixing something or helping with a local project, I just get it done. I have lived and worked in Byculla for a long time, so I know almost everyone who walks past the door. There is no big team here, just me and a couple of helpers when things get really busy. The shop is small and has a lot of miscellaneous items tucked into the corners. I don't spend much time sitting down because there is always something that needs attention. Usually, I am out on the street or visiting a client’s place. When I am at the shop, I usually have the radio on and a cup of tea nearby. People stop by to chat about the local news or ask for advice on some work they need done. It’s a busy life, but it’s what I know, and being near the restaurant means there is always a good snack available.
