Ganesh Kala Kendra

Our place, Ganesh Kala Kendra, is on Varthur Main Road in Chembur, very close to Vasanth Talkies. It is a spot that most locals know well because of the cinema. We have been here for a long time, focusing on arts and local culture. The shop is usually filled with all kinds of items, from traditional things to supplies for school projects. It is a bit of a jumble inside, not like a modern department store. We like it that way because it feels more like a workshop. We see a lot of kids coming in for their hobby needs and older folks looking for specific items for festivals. The traffic on the main road is always buzzing by, but inside we just focus on helping whoever walks in. We aren't a big corporation. We are just local people who care about art and the community. Sometimes we help out with local events or just give advice on what materials to use for a project. We have seen many businesses come and go on this road, but we have stayed put. We don't spend any money on fancy advertising or polished brochures. People just know we are here. It is a humble setup that has served us well over the years. If you are passing by the cinema, you will see our sign. We are usually around from morning till the evening lights come on.
