Gandevi Tube Industries Pvt. Ltd. operates out of Gala No. 5 in the New Tejpal Industrial Estate. This is right on the Andheri-Kurla Road, specifically in the Sakinaka area of Andheri (E). If you know Mumbai traffic, you know this road is always moving. The estate itself is a collection of different units, and we are tucked away in our specific gala. It’s a compact space, but we make it work for the tube industry. We have racks of inventory and the machines are usually running from morning until late. The humidity in Sakinaka can get pretty heavy, so the fans are always going inside. It’s a busy atmosphere with people constantly coming in to check on orders or drop off paperwork. The floor is concrete and shows the marks of years of moving heavy metal around. We don't have a lot of room for a lounge or anything fancy. Most of the business happens right there on the floor or at a small desk near the entrance. The Andheri-Kurla Road is loud and there is always the sound of horns outside, but inside Gala No. 5, we just focus on the tubes. It’s an old-school way of working where everyone knows their job. We’ve been part of this industrial estate for a long time and have seen many other shops come and go while we stay put. It's a bit cramped sometimes but we've gotten used to the layout.
