Gafhar Tempo Service

My name is Gafhar and I run this tempo service from Vader Pada. Most people around here just call the area Tempo Naka, which is in Akurli, Kandivali East. We are located right behind the Samta Nagar Police Station. It’s a busy spot with lots of different vehicles moving in and out all day. I started with just one tempo years ago and now we have a few more parked around here. We handle a lot of local shifting and moving jobs for families in the neighborhood. It’s hard work, mostly lifting heavy boxes and driving through narrow lanes that weren't built for tempos. The guys who work with me have been here for a long time and they know the roads well. We don’t have a fancy website or an office with air conditioning. We mostly sit on the benches near the vehicles while waiting for the next phone call to come in. It gets very hot during the day, so we stay in the shade of the police station wall when we can. Everyone around Samta Nagar knows where to find us if they need something moved quickly. We just take the details down in a little notebook and head out. There’s no big management structure here. It’s just us and our tempos doing the work. We try to be on time, but the traffic is tough in this part of town. It’s just the way it goes.
