Foulard Express

Our office is C/712 in the Vishal Complex, which sits on Nursing Lane just off S.V. Road in Malad. It is a bit of a climb if the lift isn't working right, but we are used to it by now. Foulard Express is a small operation, and we run things from this one room filled with boxes and shipping labels. Nursing Lane is a very tight spot, so getting deliveries in and out can be a real headache. We have to coordinate with the drivers to make sure they don't get stuck. Inside the office, it’s mostly just the sound of tape dispensers and the phone ringing. We don't have any fancy furniture, just some sturdy tables and chairs that have seen better days. From our window, you can see the rooftops of Malad and the train tracks in the distance. It’s a fast-paced environment because everything we do is about getting things moved quickly. We don't spend time on long meetings or big presentations. We just check the addresses, pack the items, and get them out the door. It is a simple business run by people who have lived in this part of Mumbai for years. We know the shortcuts and the best times to avoid the traffic. We don't have a big marketing budget. We just rely on the fact that we've been in the Vishal Complex for a long time and people know we are reliable. It’s all handled by hand.
