Food Central

We've been over here at Shop No 8 in the New Ganjawala Building for a good while now. Most people around Tardeo know the spot near the chowk on Sane Guruji Marg. It’s just a small place where we get through the day making food for the folks living nearby and the office crowd that passes through. It gets pretty busy around lunch, especially when the weather is hot, but we manage to keep things moving. We didn't really plan on being some big name, we just needed a space to work and this shop fit. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud and it gets a bit hectic inside, but that's just Mumbai life. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint if we ever got the time to close for a day. We see the same faces every morning and afternoon, which is nice. It feels like we are part of the neighborhood fabric now. You won't find anything fancy here, just us doing our jobs and trying to get the orders right. The kitchen stays hot, the floor gets scuffed up, and we keep the doors open until we're done for the night. We don't spend much time thinking about branding or anything like that. We just focus on what's on the stove. If you are walking past Tardeo Chowk, you'll see our sign hanging out front. It isn't anything special, but it lets people know we are open and ready to serve whatever we've got prepared for the day. That's about it.
