Florimaya

Florimaya is tucked away in the B 204 Konark Darshan Building. We’re over in Mulund West, though the address mention of Velu and Bhor sometimes confuses people who aren't from around here. It’s a bit of a walk-up, but once you’re here, it’s quiet compared to the street noise. I started this because I just liked having plants around, and it turned into a full-time job before I knew it. The room is always a bit cluttered with ribbons, paper, and stalks that I haven't cleared away yet. I try to keep things organized, but when you're busy with orders, the mess just grows. I spend a lot of time on the phone or just prepping stems for the next day. It’s not a big corporate operation. It’s just me and a couple of helpers trying to keep the flowers fresh in this heat. Mulund West has a lot of activity, so we stay on our toes. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, which makes carrying heavy crates a bit of a workout. I don’t mind the hard work, though. It feels good to see a finished bouquet, even if my back hurts by five o’clock. We don't have a big sign or anything. People usually find us through word of mouth or because they live in Konark Darshan. It's a simple life, mostly just dealing with nature and neighbors. I often find myself staying late just to make sure everything is watered. It's a small place, but it keeps us busy every day. The building is full of life.
