Five Star Acting Dancing Classes

Our little space is tucked away in the Indian Airlines Quarters over on Mirzapur Road. It’s not a huge studio with mirrors on every single wall, but it works for what we do here. We mostly just teach kids and some adults from the neighborhood how to move and act. It started out small because we liked dancing and thought others might too. There’s a lot of noise during the afternoon sessions when the music starts playing, but the neighbors don’t seem to mind too much. We aren't trying to be some big academy from the movies. It is just Five Star Acting Dancing Classes, a place where you can come and learn the basic steps or how to hold yourself on a stage. The floor is a bit worn from all the feet moving across it, but it’s sturdy. We spend a lot of time just practicing the same routines over and over until they look okay. Mirzapur Road stays busy, but inside here, it’s just about the rhythm and the acting exercises. We don't have fancy uniforms or anything. People just show up in whatever they’re comfortable in. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fans going. It’s a simple setup for anyone who wants to try something new without a lot of pressure. We’ve been at number 25 for a bit now, and we just keep the doors open for anyone who is interested.
