Shop No-5 in the Gafoor Khan Estate is where you’ll find us. We’re right across from the bus depot on LBS Marg in Kurla West. It’s a noisy part of town, but we’re used to it. The sound of the buses coming and going is like a clock for us. Fashion Slotted Angles has been in this estate for a long time. The shop is filled with metal and the smell of industrial work. We spend most of our hours measuring and cutting. It’s physical work and our hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Everything is right there on the floor where we can see it. If you walk in, you’ll probably see us mid-task. Kurla is a tough place to do business sometimes because of the traffic and the heat, but we like being in the thick of it. The LBS Marg is always moving. We have a small team, just a couple of guys who know how to handle the materials. We don't go in for big speeches or selling points. If someone needs shelving or angles, they come in, we talk about what they need, and we get it ready. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We’ve seen other shops come and go, but we’ve managed to stay put by just doing the work every day. It's not a glamorous job, but it is ours.
