Famous Travels

Our place is at number 7 in Kandivali West. We have been running this travel shop for a long time now. It is just a small room with some desks and maps on the wall. We spend our days mostly on the phone or looking at booking sites. People come in wanting to go all over the place. Some are looking for a cheap bus ticket to go visit their family in the village. Others want to plan a bigger trip for a wedding or a holiday. We do our best to find something that works for them. Kandivali West is a busy area and we get a lot of walk-in traffic. You can hear the rickshaws honking outside all day long. We don't have any glossy brochures or fancy displays. Usually, there are just some stacks of timetables on the counter. The chairs for customers are a bit worn out but they are comfortable enough. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit in the dark for a while, just chatting with whoever is in the shop. It is a very local kind of business. We know most of the people who come in by their first names. We don't try to be anything we are not. We just help people get from one place to another. It is a lot of checking dates and prices. Every day is a bit different depending on where people want to go.
