You can find Faisal Steel Traders down at Plot No.250 in Kolsa Bunder. We are right by Darukhana, not too far from the Reay Road Station. If you walk from the station, you will hear the sound of metal hitting metal long before you see us. The area is always full of trucks and trailers trying to squeeze through the narrow lanes. We spend our days moving steel around, mostly heavy stuff that needs a crane or a few strong backs. It gets very dusty with all the rust and the dirt from the road. The office is just a small corner with a desk and some old chairs where we sit to do the accounts. We get a lot of regulars who have been buying from us for years. It’s a busy spot, especially when the new shipments arrive at the yard. We don't have a website or anything like that; people just know we are here. The sun beats down on the steel piles in the afternoon, making everything hot to the touch. Sometimes we take a break for tea when the chai wallah passes by. Dealing in steel is a tough business, but it keeps the lights on. We just focus on getting the weight right and making sure the lorries are loaded properly before they head out into the Mumbai traffic again.
