If you’ve ever walked down Kazi Sayed Street in Masjid West, you know how crowded and loud it gets with all the trade going on. We are right in the middle of it, up on the fourth floor of the Yogeshwar Building in unit 408. It’s an old building, but it puts us right where the action is for international trade. Being near the market helps because we can talk to people face-to-face. We handle a lot of different goods coming in and going out. It’s a lot of paperwork, honestly. We spend most of our time looking at manifests and making sure the codes are right. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit every day. Usually, it's just sleeves rolled up and a cup of tea on the desk while we figure out why a delivery is stuck. We’ve been here at 135/137 for a long time. The space is a bit cramped because of all the files we have to keep, but it works for us. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy speeches. We just know the street and we know how the business works around here. It’s a lot of manual tracking and calling up contacts to make sure things move. It gets dusty and noisy, but that is just life in Masjid Bunder. We just keep at it and hope the trucks show up on time today.
