Up here on the 7B, 7Th Floorgodrej One, the view of Vikhroli is actually pretty decent if you ignore the haze. We are right in Pirojshanagar. Working for Endress + Hauser (India) Pvt. Ltd. means spending a lot of time looking at instruments and technical data. The building itself is quite modern, which feels a bit strange compared to the older industrial parts of Vikhroli East outside the gates. We have a lot of glass walls, so you can always see who is heading to the pantry for a second cup of coffee. Sometimes the humidity in Mumbai makes the walk from the station feel like a marathon, so getting into the cool air here is the best part of the morning. We don't have any big slogans on the walls or anything like that. It’s mostly just charts, some equipment samples, and people trying to finish their reports before the weekend hits. Our desks are usually a mess of cables and notebooks because that’s just how things happen when you’re busy. You get used to the sounds of the city humming below while you're focused on a task. It’s a solid place to work, and we all know each other’s lunch habits by now. It’s funny how a workplace becomes like a second home after a few years, even with all the little annoyances that come with a shared office space.
