Edifice

We operate out of Navi Mumbai and have been here since we first started. The name Edifice sounds a bit grand, but we are actually just a group of people who focus on buildings and construction. Our day is usually split between the office and different sites across the city. Navi Mumbai is always expanding, so there is always something going on nearby. We spend a lot of time looking at blueprints and talking to contractors on the phone. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure materials show up when they are supposed to. Our office isn't a showpiece; it’s more of a functional space where we keep our helmets, boots, and drawing rolls. We don't have a big staff of receptionists. Usually, if you call, you’re talking to someone who is actually working on a project. We deal with the heat and the rain just like everyone else on the job sites. It’s not a glamorous life, but there is something good about seeing a project move from a drawing to a real structure. We’ve been in this part of town for years and have seen many of the buildings around us go up. We just stick to what we know, which is the practical side of construction. It’s busy, it’s often messy, but it’s what we do every day.
