We are based in the Mittal Industrial Estate, specifically in Building 6, Unit 5. This place is right on the Andheri Kurla Road, so the traffic is something we deal with every single day. The estate is always packed with vans and people moving goods. Our unit is basically a functional warehouse space where we keep our steel stock. It is a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together, but we have enough light to see what we are doing. The walls are a bit scuffed from moving long steel rods and sheets around all day. It’s a very practical environment. We don't have any decorations; we just have racks and some basic measuring tools. Andheri East is a busy hub, and being in Mittal Estate means we are right in the thick of it. Sometimes it’s hard for the delivery trucks to find a parking spot near our unit, so there is always some shouting and coordinating going on outside. We mostly deal with regular customers who know exactly where to find us. The office part is just a small desk near the entrance where we keep the invoices and the phone. It gets dusty because of the industrial activity all around, but that’s just how it is in this part of Mumbai. We focus on the metal and making sure we have what people ask for when they call us up. The routine is simple, and we like it that way.
