You can find us at 97/99, Maruti Mandir Marg, which is in the 5th Kumbharwada area. Being so close to the temple means we hear the bells and the prayers every day. It’s a nice backdrop to the work we do at Eastern Metal Industries. This part of Kumbharwada is always buzzing with activity. We have a modest space that’s mostly filled with metal stock and a few workstations. The air always smells a bit like iron and old stone. We’ve been at this address for many years, and the building has become like a second home to us. It’s not a fancy place by any means. The stairs are narrow and the lighting could be better, but it serves its purpose. We spend our days dealing with suppliers and making sure our inventory is sorted. It’s a lot of physical work, moving things around and checking weights. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We’re just a metal business trying to keep things running smoothly. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us for a long time. We know their names and how they like their orders handled. It’s a steady pace of work. When the sun goes down, we lock up the shutters and head home, only to do it all over again the next morning. It’s a simple life, but we’re content with it here on Maruti Mandir Marg, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the market.
