We have been up here on the second floor of Mitha Mansion for a good while now. Shahid Bhagat Singh Road is always busy, and we are right in the middle of all that noise and traffic. Mostly, we just deal with the paperwork for things coming in and going out of the port. It isn't very glamorous work, but it needs doing correctly or things get stuck for weeks. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at forms. Sometimes the rules change and we have to figure it out as we go. It is a small team here. We know each other's coffee orders and who is having a bad day. People come in with questions about their shipments and we try to give them a straight answer without all that fancy talk. It gets noisy with the trucks outside, but you get used to it after a month. We just try to keep things moving along so nobody gets a headache. If a box is supposed to be somewhere, we do what we can to make sure it actually gets there on time. It is a lot of back and forth with different offices. We are not a big fancy operation with a glass lobby. It is just us and our desks and a lot of folders. We have seen the area change over the years, but the job stays pretty much the same. You just have to be patient with the process.
