Doshi Steels

We are located at 202, Khetwadi Back Road, which is a pretty crowded part of the city. Doshi Steels has been in this neighborhood for a long time. If you have ever been to Khetwadi, you know the streets are narrow and there is always a lot of activity. We deal mostly in steel products and it can be a real challenge getting trucks in and out of here. Our shop is packed with inventory from floor to ceiling. It is not the most organized-looking place, but we know exactly where everything is kept. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and customers, negotiating prices and checking on stock levels. The air is often thick with the smell of metal and city exhaust. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's just a place where business happens between stacks of steel bars and sheets. Sometimes the noise from the street is so loud we have to shout to be heard over the traffic. Most of our customers are locals or small builders who have been buying from us for decades. We don't bother with much promotional stuff. We just try to be fair and keep what people need in stock. The building is old and the stairs are steep, but it is home to us. It is just a regular steel trading business, trying to stay afloat and serve the community around Khetwadi. We stay busy from the moment we open the shutters until we close them at night.
