Diya Steel

So, we are up on the second floor of the Lotus Building. It is on Sindhi Lane, Phase 3B2. Diya Steel has been operating out of this office for a bit now. It’s not a ground floor shop where you see everything on display, so people usually have to know we are here to come up. The stairs are a bit narrow, but the building is well-known in the area. We deal with steel orders and supplies. Most of the day is spent on the phone talking to suppliers or checking on deliveries. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the side of the building directly. There isn't much to see from the window except the other buildings on Sindhi Lane. We have a couple of desks and some samples of rods and sheets lying around so people can see the thickness and quality of the materials. It’s a quiet place compared to the main road. Sometimes the light in the hallway flickers, we keep meaning to get the landlord to fix that. Working with steel is heavy business, but the office part is just paperwork and keeping things organized. Most of the regulars just call us, but we still like having the physical space here in the building. It feels solid. We've been here long enough that the tea stall guy downstairs knows exactly when to bring the tray up. It is just a regular office for a regular business.
