Our place is at 34 Borivali West, specifically Plot No 3 on S V Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, as anyone who lives in Borivali can tell you. Dealing with iron and steel means things get a bit messy and loud. Divyesh Enterprises Doshi Iron & Steel Corporation is where we spend most of our daylight hours. The yard and the office are usually filled with the sound of metal and trucks moving nearby. It’s heavy work, and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We’ve been on S V Road for a long time, watching the shops around us change while we stay focused on the steel. There’s no air conditioning in the main areas, just fans that move the air around. We talk to the drivers and the loaders all day long. It’s not the kind of place you’d find a polished lobby. We have stacks of registers and old files because that’s how we keep track of everything. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually when we take a short break. The sun hits the plot pretty hard in the afternoons, making it quite warm. We just deal with the heat and the noise because that’s the job. It’s a simple operation, run by people who know the weight of the material we handle every day. We don't have many visitors, just the usual regular customers who know exactly where to find us.
