Dinesh Batteries Sales & Services

We have been running Dinesh Batteries Sales & Services for a while now over in Jogeshwari West. If you know Balajinagar on the Pune Satara Road, you probably know where we are at number 6. It is a busy spot and there is always a lot of dust from the heavy traffic passing by throughout the day. Most days start early because people have trouble starting their cars or bikes when they are trying to get to work in the morning. We spend a lot of time lifting heavy batteries and checking the water levels inside them. It is physical work and my hands are usually pretty dirty by lunch time. We have a small wooden bench where customers can sit while we test their old battery to see if it can still hold a charge. If it is dead, we show them the new ones we have on the shelves. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a practical shop with tools and stacks of black battery boxes everywhere. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use a handheld torch to see what we are doing in the back room. The neighbors are good people and we usually share some tea around four o'clock when things slow down a bit. It gets really hot in the afternoons during the summer months but we just keep the fan going. People come to us because they know we are right here on the road and we do not make things complicated.
