Up on the 4th floor of Chintamani Building, things are a little bit quieter than down on the busy Kika Street. Diamond Steel Industries has Office No. 40, which means we have to walk up a lot of stairs if the lift is acting up. Building No. 200/206 is an old place, and you can really feel the history in the walls as you walk through. 2nd Bhoiwada is always a scramble of people and handcarts, so getting anything up to the 4th floor is a real task. We spend our time on the phone and looking at papers more than moving the actual metal ourselves these days. The office is small and crowded with files and samples of different steel grades. You can hear the city humming outside the window all day. Kika Street is known for this kind of business, so we fit right in with the rest of the offices in the area. Sometimes it gets a bit stuffy in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open for a breeze. We have seen a lot of businesses come and go in this building, but we have stayed put. It is a practical place to work, even if the space is tight. We don't have a big sign outside, just the office number on the door.
